What is the difference between a dietitian and a nutritionist?
A dietitian is a recognised professional with university qualifications and professional requirements as per Dietitians Australia. The term nutritionist is not a regulated profession, meaning that qualifications can range from an online course to university qualifications. Dietitians are automatically nutritionists, but nutritionists are not always dietitians. Dietitians have biochemistry, physiology and medical training to be able to manage a range of clinical conditions.
What will I get as part of my appointment?
An appointment will include a full medical and social history and an individualised meal plan.
Do you accept EPC Care Plans?
Susie is registered with Medicare and will receipt you so that you can claim your rebate from Medicare. Provider No = 4024364T and DAA registration reference is DAA 99-027.
How much is an appointment?
A single face to face appointment is $200 or alternatively a 30 minute phone consultation is $100. Susie generally sees weight loss clients on a program basis where clients can sign up to a 5 or 100 session pack for $500 or $1000 respectively.
What days can I make an appointment?
Susie sees clients remotely and face to face from her office in Bondi Junction on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Do I need a referral?
You can get a referral but it is not necessary to have one in order to see Susie.
Can I get a health fund rebate?
Susie is registered with all major health funds and will receipt you at the appointment so you can claim back any entitlements.
